OKTAAF

The challenge: Manual artisanship vs. digital storytelling and ancient artefacts vs. contemporary designs. Oktaaf is a brand of unexpected connections. They carefully select small historical artefacts, to integrate them into wearable, contemporary jewellery. I created an identity that would reflect this in a minimalistic and clever way. The solution: As Oktaaf highlights "history is identity." Taking this as a source of inspiration the logo combines a contemporary Serif font as well as the symbols of ancient languages which have been a core element of human evolution. The result successfully reflects the values of the brand: historical, contemporary and high-end.
